When wandering with the camera it's very easy to concentrate on capturing close-ups of all those beauteous flowers that fill the June gardens to the exclusion of the 'long view'. Every once in a while I like to force myself to work with my wide angle lens to try to capture an overview. We had an overcast day today, perfect for garden photography. Here are a few images from the gardens today.

ReplyDeleteLOL Sue! I haven't taken any pics of the 'upstairs' coctail lounge yet and I think we'll be using that next time you come. Also, haven't gotten any pics of the front of the driveway garden... or.. front of the fence of the tropical border... Now I have to come and visit you and do a blog about your gardens... fun, fun, fun....

Thanks Marie, no kidding it's lots and lots of work but oh what fun. So glad you like the new trellis on the east side of the house. My brother built that for me last year. Betty Corning was fabulous there last season but the voles have been at it. I really need to find a solution to the rodent problem.

ReplyDeleteOH yes, don't I know it. I've caged several of mine and what a difference it makes but as you said a huge amount of time and effort involved. I've got to go that route with the two on my arch over the sundial and terrace gardens. The Arabella is pitiful this year.
